the result of this thesis is that the the four novels tells the culture of matchmaking to be one of the oldest culture in Indonesia that keep changing. at first, matchmaking was caused by parents who forced their children to be matched because of financial problems, wealth problems, and the factor of solidarity between two families. the aftermath of the matchmaking is that psychology of the one who is matched and divorced.
