Hermeneutic Analysis in “Pa’rewatan baca-baca' of arccera”Kalompoang ceremony in Gowa Regency (A Case Study )

This thesis is about the hermeneutic analysis of pa’weratang baca-baca in accera kalompoang ceremony case study of gowa regency aimed to find out the truth meaning or interpretation of pa’weratang baca-baca. This recearc used descriptive qualitive method. All the data of this recearh were collected from observation and interviews. In this research, the researcher found that the hermeneutic analisis through the teory that offered by gadamer. First is from pre understanding theory that based on the prejudice of researcher that this magic spell countains of commends praying, invitation of lord, and thankful feeling of the outhor.Then, Histirical affected consciousness, the societies were really religious in that time, they believed the lords were in the sky, water and land. The people conducted the ceremony with two purposes. Next is teory of hermeneutic circle. The autor was a holy man who created a magic spell with holy ild makassarese language. The last is theory of application. The researcher found two application, the ceremonial application and massage application. Therefore, the researcher concluded that by analyzing a text trough hermeneutic theory, we may know the situation ,condition, and everityng around the texk such as history, autor, application, and message without seeing it directly. This baca-bacais applied in a ceremony called accera’Kalompoang ceremony
